Run A People Search By Phone Number – For Free

Some searches are more frustrating than others. There are times you may search for someone, and you hit the jackpot right away. Other people are harder to find, especially when their name may have changed or they have a very common name. If you have a phone number, you may be able to find someone that way, even when that is the only information that you have.

One of the best ways to match a name, location, and phone number is to use Google or other search engine to see if something comes up. On Google, you should go to their phonebook section by typing phonebook: into the search box, along with the phone number you have. Add the number without dashes or any other symbols for the best results. If the number can be found, the name with it should tell you if you are on the right track.

You can also use a reverse phone look up service to see if the number brings up anything useful. There are some that are free, and you will have to pay for others. Use the free ones first, and enter the information that you have. If those bring up no results, go ahead and pay the fee. Though paying to find someone will depend on how badly you want to find them, most fee sites have more results and you have a much better chance of finding what you need.

If those methods fail you, you may have to turn to the search engines to give you some ideas and leads. If you have already tried the Google phonebook, try the general Google search next. You can do the same with many of the search engines you can find online. If the number pops up in any results, you may have found what you need, or you have found that someone else may now have that number. Both results are valuable to you.

When the general search fails you, you can try to do a blog search. Though not everyone will list their personal contact information on a blog, you may find that some do. If that number has been listed in blog, it should come up through this type of search activity. As with other searches, try many different blog searches, and don’t forget to try the same search on many of the Web 2.0 sites out there. Those involved with these in a professional capacity may very well have their phone numbers listed online for business reasons.

There will be times when a number will not come up. That number may be unlisted, and that person has managed to guard it very well. It might also be an old number that is no longer used and removed from databases. These numbers may also be missing because someone opted out of each service.
